About Our Speaker

Marc Littlecott leads the planned giving program for the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where he has been on staff since 2022. A Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®, he has worked as a specialist in the field of planned giving since 1999, including 14 years with The Salvation Army and 8 years at South Dakota State University. He was the Secretary & Treasurer of the former Charitable IRA Initiative, which lobbied for passage of the Charitable IRA Rollover and its expansion for split-interest gifts. Prior to becoming president of the newest planned giving chapter in the country, Magnolia State Charitable Gift Planners (mscgp.org), Marc served 10 years on the editorial board of the industry’s main periodical, Planned Giving Today, writing over 20 articles for that esteemed publication.  When time permits, he presents for regional professional groups 2-3 times per year, financial/wealth planning departments, and planned giving councils and conferences throughout the nation.  His presentation for our chapter is the same that he recently made to for the Practical Planned Giving Conference in San Diego last month. 

After graduating from the Virginia Military Institute, Marc served as a commissioned U.S. Army Reserve officer.  Marc and his wife Laura have two grown children, one a senior at Ole Miss and the other a cyber security & forensics specialist.
